The fret board is very flat with its 15.75" radius, and makes the neck feel a bit wider than a standard Telecaster, even if it has the same neck shape. Do yourself a favor and buy one. I own an '06 LP Standard 50's that I put Pearly Gates into, and a Tele American Pro II and this guitar fits between them sound wise very nicely.
